Michelle Lane

Michelle Lane is an NHMRC Senior Research Fellow at the School of Paediatrics and Reproductive Health at the University of Adelaide where she heads the Gamete and Embryo Biology Laboratory.   Michelle received her PhD from Monash University in 1996 and has published over 150 peer reviewed articles focused on the physiology and metabolism of gametes and embryos. In more recent years her research has expanded to understanding how environmental insults to gametes pre-conception shape the developing preimplantation embryo, impact implantation thereby shaping the developmental trajectory of the fetus in utero thereby influencing health into adulthood. In addition to her basic research Michelle is the Scientific Director of both Repromed and MyIVF Clinics. She has extensive translation with >20 products sold worldwide and 12 patents in the field of clinical IVF.
