Dr Jane Girling is a lecturer in the Department of Anatomy, University of Otago, where she moved after nearly 20-years working in Australia, most recently in the Gynaecology Research Centre, Royal Women’s Hospital and University of Melbourne. Dr Girling is a reproductive biologist with interests in uterine biology and women’s health, particularly endometriosis. Her research interests include the functional role of genetic variants linked with endometriosis and the phenotypic heterogeneity in symptoms and disease presentation. She also has an interest in psychosocial aspects of reproductive health and education and exploring how we can assist women to live a full and happy life.
